A friend of mine gave me a picture of a wheel of attraction recently, and she asked me to write in the spokes, the things that I absolutely love to do, i.e., my passions, my interests, etc. So, as I fill in the spokes on my wheel, it’s pretty cool, because I can immediately see how the things I love are integrated and interrelated in surprising ways. And because I’m working in all these areas right now, it also gives me a dynamic picture of the synergies I’m vibrating and attracting in my life.
And then I get a picture in my mind — of a flywheel. It’s a key component in all our cars, and a powerful metaphor from an inspiring business book I read years ago, “Good to Great,” by Jim Collins.
The concept of the flywheel is that the first push is agonizing and labor intensive; but subsequent pushes become easier as the flywheel builds rotational energy. Until finally, the flywheel, and the 50-ton truck (and our life purpose) move forward almost effortlessly along this higher path we’ve chosen, because of inertia!
That’s the “Law of Attraction” Meets “Good to Great!”
Are you spending time on all the things you love to do and that you’re good at?
If not, how will your life ever become great?
