The Giggle Meditation

The Giggle Meditation

My daughter interrupted my meditation this morning.
So I asked her if she wanted to meditate with me.
“Sure!” She said.
I showed her how to sit and how to breathe, and then we got started.
She lasted about 60 seconds, before she started giggling.
No problem.  I was still calm and peaceful.
Then she started weaving her fingers into mine,
trying to get my attention.
I was convinced this was a test of my focus,
so I continued with my eyes closed, and began chanting “aummm.”
She was inspired to create her own mantras:
“mommmmmm” and “yummmmmm”
That’s when we had a giggle attack!
It was the most divine meditation, in the shortest period,
that I have ever experienced.
And my lesson for today?
I need more laughter in my daily meditation : )
Because finding joy in the present moment is not a process,
It’s a yummy discovery!
